Dr James Keir (m)

MBChB, MRCS, DOHNS, MRCGP, MSc

James grew up in Cornwall and graduated from the University of Leicester in 2001 where in addition to studying medicine, he met his wife. Following graduation, he began training in surgery where he gained experience in a wide range of specialties and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. He initially chose to pursue a career as an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon and spent six years in this specialty achieving the grade of Registrar.

In 2009, James and his wife started their family and this brought about a change in outlook on life and a decision to leave Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery. James subsequently trained for 3 years as a GP in Devon. He reflects upon this as being one of the best decisions he ever made.

Whilst not working, James loves to spend time with his family, working out in the gym and playing guitar.
