Dr James Keir (m)

MBChB, MRCS, DOHNS, MRCGP, MSc
(Full Time GP)

James grew up in Cornwall and graduated from the University of Leicester in 2001 where in addition to studying medicine, he met his wife. Following graduation, he began training in surgery where he gained experience in a wide range of specialties and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. He initially chose to pursue a career as an Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon and spent six years in this specialty achieving the grade of Registrar.

In 2009, James and his wife started their family and this brought about a change in outlook on life and a decision to leave Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery. James subsequently trained for 3 years as a GP in Devon. He reflects upon this as being one of the best decisions he ever made.

Whilst not working, James loves to spend time with his family, working out in the gym and playing guitar.

Dr Mandy du Feu (f)

BM, MRCGP, DCH, DFSRH
(Full Time GP)

Mandy grew up in Jersey and attended St Clements School and then Jersey College for Girls. She initially had a finance-based career, but had always dreamed of becoming a doctor and went on to study Medicine at Southampton University, graduating in 2001. 

Having completed her medical degree, Mandy was certain she wanted to become a GP and continued her postgraduate training with a year in Southampton on a dedicated GP rotation, followed by a year in Basingstoke working in paediatrics and A&E, and she then returned to Jersey for two years, where she worked in obstetrics & gynaecology, psychiatry and acute medicine / elderly care. 

Dr Jenny Sykes (f)

MB, BS, BMedSci, MRCGP, DROG, DSFRH 
(Part Time GP)

Jenny had the privilege of being born and educated in Jersey, attending Jersey College for Girls then going onto study Medicine at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2006. Post graduate junior doctor rotations were completed within Gloucestershire and Nottinghamshire. It was clear that General Practice was her specialty of choice so went onto train within Leicestershire, following her husband to be. Training specialties included psychiatry, respiratory medicine, stroke medicine and obstetrics and gynaecology.

Finally, after a decade of training within the UK, Jenny returned to Jersey. She married and now has two sons under the age of 5. She is strongly family orientated and likes nothing more than spending time with them as well as walking, cycling and doing various arts and crafts. Areas of special interest include women's health, dermatology and dermoscopy.

Dr Guillaume Besson (m)

MRCGP, MBChB, MSc

(Full Time GP)

Guillaume grew up across Greece, France, and the UK before graduating from the University of Manchester in 2008. He embarked on a brief career in Finance and also founded two successful retail businesses. Despite his initial pursuits, his unwavering passion for medicine persisted. In 2020, he devoted three years to training as a GP in Buckinghamshire. Beyond his dedication to primary care, Guillaume has always been an avid sportsman. This passion led him to pursue a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine at University College London in 2022, and he now counts this as a particular interest in his professional life.
