The Government of Jersey has announced a new scheme offering free appointments for children visiting their GP. The scheme provides free face-to-face surgery consultations with GPs, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists and healthcare assistants who are employed by the practice. Telephone and video consultations are also included. Home visits and consultations at the out-of-hours service (JDOC) are not included.
This service is funded through the Health Insurance Fund for children and young people aged 0 to 17.
